To this chapter. To adventure. To happiness. To me.
I turned 35 in March. Who doesn’t love a birthday… cake and presents? Yes please!
35 hit differently though. It was the same road. The safe road.
But who am I to complain?
Life is GOOD, right?
- We’ve been married for almost 13 years (this month!)
- We have three happy, beautiful children. I even have a mini van!
- We own our house with a fenced in yard, dog and all.
- We both have successful full-time jobs.
LIFE IS GOOD. So why did 35 hit differently?
Something was missing. Now PLEASE don't take this the wrong way... I love my family, I love my husband, I love my kids, I love my dog, and I love the life that we built together.
But life became a routine.
School. Work. Dinner. Activities. Bed.
REPEAT.
What about the UNEXPECTED? What about ADVENTURE?
I asked my husband one day last month if he ever wanted to do something crazy! Something unexpected! Maybe even something irresponsible!
Let's be honest though. We have three children, three children that are 10 and under... we aren't in a stage of life to be irresponsible.
But why can't we have adventures? Why can't we do something unexpected? Both for us and for our children! Who says you can't have adventure when you have kids?
So we talked about what made us uncomfortable.
We talked about life ambitions.
We prioritized time together and time as a family.
We made goals.
We booked a cruise!
We went bowling, completed our first escape room, even sang karaoke.
And I started a blog!
So this is 35. This is for 2025, 2026, and years to come.
This is for me.
This is for adventure! For my own adventure, for family adventures, for adventures with my husband.
This is for making memories.
This is my why. This is my blog.
This is me choosing to be Vibrant. Brave. And Bright.
